On 5^th March, members of our school’s promotions group arranged a special presentation to welcome a delegation from Sweden who are here as part of an Erasmus+ project.

Since the start of the school year, a group of second-year students from our school worked hard on their entry for the annual IATEFL Slovenia video competition.

On 14^th and 15^th February, Gimnazija Vič joined other schools across Slovenia in opening our doors to welcome potential students who are currently making the decision about their choice of secondary school.

In Slovenia, we remember France Prešeren, our national poet, every year on 8^th February with a day celebrating the culture of our country.

The annual spectacle, both for spectators and performers, Musicals@Vič took place on 16^th and 17^th January at our school.

On Tuesday, 24 December 2024, Dr Cvetka Sokolov from the Department of English at the Faculty of Arts at University of Ljubljana, visited classes 3B and 3C.

Towards the end of December 2024, a delegation from our school's debate club attended the WHO (Winter Holidays Open) international debate tournament in Zagreb, Croatia.

On 10^th December, student musicians under the mentorship of Marija Mihevc, our school’s music teacher, presented a concert of music and songs designed to get us all ready for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

This year, the Gimnazija Vič UNESCO/MUN club sent a delegation of 21 students to attend the second DrugaMUN conference, which was held at II. gimnazija Maribor between the 15^th and 16^th of November.

Gimnazija Vič marked Halloween this year with a special event organised by our school’s Student Council.

From 14^th to 18^th October, a group of 8 students and 4 teachers from Gimnazija Vič participated in an international project as part of the five-year-long Green STEM project.

At the end of September, we were delighted to welcome a delegation of three teachers from Blackebergs gymnasium in Stockholm.

Between the 27^th and the 29^th of September, our school hosted a student organised Model United Nations conference, called VičMUN.

In early September 2024, a group of students from Gimnazija Vič participated in the World Scholar's Cup (WSC) Global Round in Bangkok. All of our teams performed very well across various challenges, including debates, collaborative writing, and the Scholar's challenge. One of our teams achieved an impressive 8^th place overall.

Monday, 2^nd September 2024 saw Gimnazija Vič open its doors for the new school year. Although teachers and other school staff had already been busy behind the scenes in the weeks leading up to the start of September, this day allowed us to officially welcome our students into the classrooms.
