Exam results 2021/22
As always, students across all our four years had exams to take towards the end of the school year. While our first three year groups have regular class tests so they can move up to the next stage of their education with us, those in their final year have to sit the Matura exams. These are state exams for those who are finishing this level of education and allow students to continue with their academic path by getting a place at university.
Those in their final year were another generation that had many additional challenges to deal with as a result of Covid-related closures and restrictions during their time at our school. However, their hard work combined with the dedication and enthusiasm of our teachers led to another excellent set of results.
Students met in school for one final time to meet up with their teachers and to receive their certificates. This was an opportunity to catch up with classmates and to thank the teaching staff for their work over the past few years.
As well as receiving their Matura certificates, some additional awards and prizes were given to those students who had done especially well in certain subjects and across the board. 35 of our students were given the Gold Matura Prize which is given to the students who received the best grades from right across Slovenia.
In addition, certain students were given special commendations for getting such high scores in their exams. In this case, Sociology, Physics, English, Psychology, German, Philosophy, and Chemistry were the subjects in which some of our students really excelled.
Special mention must go to the 3 students who were awarded the Diamond Matura Award which is given to those who got top marks across all their subjects. In 2022, only 18 of these awards were given for all of Slovenia. This special recognition is accompanied by an invitation to a ceremony organised annually by the president of Slovenia.
We would like to give our congratulations to all those students who completed their time with us this year and give them the very best of wishes as they continue their studies at university.
