Prešeren Day 2025
In Slovenia, we remember France Prešeren, our national poet, every year on 8th February with a day celebrating the culture of our country.
As this holiday fell on a Saturday this year, our students decided to celebrate on Monday 10th February with a special cultural event which took place during our main break.
During this time, students and teachers were welcomed into our main hall and given the chance to hear a number of different readings and performances. This included an open-mic session in which our young writers were able to read their own poetry and prose in front of an enthusiastic audience.
Congratulations to everyone involved for creating a very special occasion in which we all had the chance to acknowledge the value of cultural pursuits in our modern world.
