Erasmus+ Week 2024
In the middle of October, different departments and extracurricular clubs at Gimnazija Vič joined up to mark our first ever Erasmus+ Week.
As well as projects organised as part of regular classes, the school's main morning break allowed for time every day for presentations and activities. These covered a wide variety of themes including nutrition, fake news, mobility, and measuring our carbon footprint. Information was shared and collected in ways such as poster displays, surveys, and physical challenges.
One of the goals of the week was to let students find out more about the different countries in which we have partner schools thanks to our Erasmus+ projects. With this in mind, every day had a different focus linked to Croatia, Germany, Sweden, Italy, and Slovenia.
A highlight of this type of connection was the food prepared every day by our kitchen staff. Both snacks and lunches were available to represent the cuisine of these nations and students enjoyed the chance to try some new foods.
Through the week, we were delighted to welcome some special guests to our school. This included a delegation of teachers from Italy and a representative of the CMEPIUS organisation. They all gave us some very positive feedback regarding how we celebrate our international connections and provided assurances of future cooperation.
Congratulations to all students and mentors involved for a fantastic week of projects and activities. We look forward to seeing how our strong Erasmus+ connections create some great opportunities in the time ahead.
