Distance learning: October 2020
In October 2020, Gimnazija Vič joined other schools and colleges across Slovenia in moving to a programme of distance learning based on instructions from the national government.
From our time being back at school after the last closure, steps were taken to make sure that we had a robust online system in place that would cover different styles of classes with activities organised in e-classrooms and through video conferencing facilities.
This preparation seems to have paid off and our move from in-person teaching to the distance model occurred without any major issues and we remain confident in our abilities in this area as we move forward.
The school continues to provide other services with pastoral care a particular priority at this time which is proving difficult for so many people. In addition, library and canteen services are available with additional hygiene measures in place for everyone involved.
We greatly value the cooperation and support of our students and their families as we all work together to make the best of this situation although we very much look forward to welcoming all students back into their classrooms once the circumstances allow.
